Bengt Ruda (1918 - 1999) was a Swedish furniture designer. His notable works include parts of the Triva series and the Cavelli armchair. In the late 1940s and early 1950s, Ruda designed furniture for Nordiska Kompaniet's Triva series. In 1956, he was recruited by IKEA from NK. As the first trained designer hired by IKEA, Ruda played a crucial role, especially when the company began introducing flat-pack furniture.
