Philippe Starck, born January 18, 1949, in Paris, is a renowned French designer known for his innovative work across interior design, furniture, and consumer goods. He founded Starck Product in the 1970s and gained early recognition for designing furniture for Pierre Cardin. His breakthrough came in 1983, refurbishing the French President’s private apartments.

Starck’s designs are bold and playful, blending aesthetics with functionality. Notable works include the Juicy Salif lemon squeezer, the Louis Ghost chair, and the Gun Lamp series. His architectural contributions span globally, with designs for the Royalton and Paramount hotels in New York, and the Delano in Miami.
