Manufrance, short for Manufacture Française d’Armes et Cycles de St. Étienne (“French Arms and Cycle Factory of St. Étienne”), was a French mail-order company established in 1888 in the industrial town of St. Étienne. As France’s first mail-order business, Manufrance offered a wide range of products, including bicycles like the Hirondelle, furniture, fishing rods, and other household items.
